Find your mission
Do you know what your mission is? In fact, do you know what a mission is?
It's the WHAT.
A person's life mission determines their essence, the reason for their existence, their level of satisfaction with life, their personal fulfillment, happiness, willingness to be in this world, and, most importantly, it determines their legacy. That's what they leave as a mark of their existence. We're referring to what guides each of our actions, achievements, and learnings. If you know what motivates you, it becomes easier to follow the path, and you become more motivated by what you love to do.
To discover this, we need to ask ourselves because we don't create our life's mission; we discover it.
What makes me happy?
What fulfills you the most?
What makes you feel special and recognized?
What makes you feel personally and professionally fulfilled?
What drives you?
Where does your motivation come from?
What is your life's purpose?
What are you building in the course of your life?
Are you using your life for good?
What is your reason for existing?
Are you utilizing the fullest potential of your existence?
Are you contributing to your existence?
How do you want to be remembered by people when you're no longer here?
Are you always doing your best and showing your best self?
What price are you willing to pay to achieve your dreams?
How far are you prepared to go?
Our life's mission is in our essence, in what makes us unique, singular, and special individuals. If we are aware of our life's mission, our path in this world becomes lighter and more prosperous because we'll have a clear direction.
Living in the automatism of "let life take me" makes us mere spectators of existence when, in fact, we should always be the protagonists. Don't just watch life pass by. Give meaning to every movement you make because when we give meaning to our lives by focusing on our mission, we start to use the infinite potential within us.
So, one can say that a mission is the purpose of your existence, why you're here, what you intend to do, and to whom this existence is aimed. In a few lines, what is your purpose, why it's in this market segment, and who your mission is for.
For example: "The greatest mission of a human being is to help others. This is our mission as professionals: to contribute to personal character formation and, from there, to train and develop extraordinary professionals in what they do so that they can sustain the businesses they work for as employees, partners, and/or owners."
Try to elaborate on your mission. It's not that complicated to do; it just requires some time to think about why you're here in this world full of wonders.
